Job Description:
Civil Engineer
Location, Washington - DC
A Civil Engineer with 10 plus year of experience is sought. This expert
will address a variety of growing client needs; specifically working on
project and program management for one of the largest combined system
sanitary engineering projects in the United States. This individual will
be responsible for collection system project/program management services,
long term control plans of CSO, SSO and storm water solutions. This person
will also play a key role in staff and contractor management. In addition
to administrative obligations, analysis, studies and design are included
in the responsibilities.
Qualifications
B.S. Civil Engineer with an emphasis in Environmental Engineering
M.S. Civil/Environmental Engineering (Preferred)
Registered Professional Engineer (Required)
Transcripts required
A commitment to continuing education and professional development
Experience
Technical
10 plus years of experience with analysis, studies and design of
Collection Systems, Combined Systems, SSO long term control plans, Storm
Water, Program Management or related areas for large municipal projects.
Expertise in hydraulic modeling for sewer system development and
rehabilitation
Strong attention to technical detail – ability to understand and
communicate technical data
Evaluation of collection systems, sewer/sanitary experience (not just
treatment plant work)
Experience managing sub-contractors as well as client affiliated
consultants
Experience as a consultant having had municipalities as clients
Client Relations
Strong experience in client relations
Excellent communications skills; written and verbal, including experience
in giving presentations.
Experience with new business development; growing existing accounts
Administrative
Experience managing budgets up to $4 million dollars
Experience overseeing billing
Experience handling collections if needed
Proven ability to manage, train and develop staff
